The TRX IS Dead. $8500 worth of damage minimum. From a low speed slide into a cliff face.
I'm going to buy the Hornet. Thanks to some quality negotiation it is down to $6495, which means I can buy a screen and replace the rear shock with what I have left over. Maybe more if I unleash the wife.
Next week I'm going to test ride the Hornet, a GSX750F the same shop has, and a VFR750 Magna, just for a laugh.
Have a look here:

Give us a yell if you want to arrange some time to crack into the CBR (won’t be near a PC for a few days).

Whats the status of your NCB Jim?
Had any more accidents that they're still punishing you for (wasn't there an incident with a Volvo and your RGV250 a ways back?)

The wife and I have had a long chat, and we agreed the Hornet is looking like the best bet, as I'll have to keep whatever I get now until the end of 2006 and it is a low K bike at a goodprice, meaning I'll probably won't be riding it as much as I rode the TRX. It is a bit less focussed than the TRX as well, which means it will pbe a lot more comfortable for the couple of long rides I go on every year.
As soon as I finish my degree (2006), I'll be allowed to buy something NEW! I'm thinking XB9r (if they're still around) or Yamaha MT-01.
Thanks for all the advice and "shit" tossed my way, as it has restored and maintained my sense of humour. Those of you who didn;t offer sympathy or "shit" have been duly noted :)
I have added you to my "Joni" list for a future evil prank.

Oooo You could be the first KBer with an MT-01. Been wondering how long it would take for a KBer to seriously consider getting one. Now there's some motivation to get through your studies.
Looking foward to your Hornet Review.

Cheers Gav - got it on my watchlist - that looks like a lovely one too. He's listed it as a '91 which is a bit odd given that they were released in '95.
I'll keep a close watch on that and I may send my bike bouncer in Auckland round to check it out.

93 VFR750
97 GSF600S
94 YZF750R
