Customise Profile

[Mental Trousers]

In your User CP you'll find a link on the left that says Customize Profile (http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/profile.php?do=customize). In there you can subject everyone that visits your profile page to your idea of cool.

So far I've only seen 3 that are customized, one being my own (all I've done is put an image in the background).

So, who's done what to their's?? (I've got a strong stomach so hopefully I won't vomit at some of them).

Most remarkable thing. In the new dispensation, one can see who has viewed ones profile. There appears to be a steady stream of people viewing mine. A more boring and profitless excursion I cannot imagine.

Late last night I did a quick revamp of mine. In the bright, warm light of a beautiful sunny day it doesn't look too foul. Hell, everything is readable in both the Light and Dark Universes and doesn't look too crap in either as well!!!! The Pink Hell is somewhat less horrible than it used to be, but only on customized Profile pages. The Pointless Drivel theme looks wrong, but the Dark Style theme looks like I made my Profile page especially for it!!

Although I reckon I'm going to have to do something about those cross hatched bits. They just don't quite look right.

ARGH..............I know it's me, I know but it still wont do it! It says Main has invalid properties-Background image. Over and over and over. I've tried different pix, still no good.

So first section on( customise profile) box entitled (background Image) whack a url from album and bingo. Nope.

What am I missing mighty one, In precise detail that an idiot can understand, please. :rolleyes:

Click on a picture in one of your albums. It'll open up fullsize and it has a box that says Picture URL. Copy that and put it in the 1st section of the Customize Profile page in the bit that says Background.

Background images must come from your albums. Enter the URL to a picture in one of your public or profile albums.

I have diagnosed the problem and it would appear I am completely to blame, no suprise there. I was trying to transplant pictures from an album which was private ?? make a public or profile album and they transfer from there, Just like MT said. It's all good, only cost me the price of a new keyboard which I threw at the dog through the window. :angry2:
