New Tiger just arrived from LA

I have been the proud owner of a new Blue 2007 ABS Tiger for around six weeks now. BUT now it has arrived (from LA), I can actually ride it!

Rides like a dream.

Smooth as velvet!

The Tiger must be the easiest to ride 1000cc plus bike.

This was always the bike I wanted, but just couldn't afford. Importing it seems to have solved the problem. I will post up all of the costs at a later date.

Getting over 80c to the US$ was an important factor that helped make my mind up. Sorry Mr Suzuki (GSF SAT).

We're upto a total of $16490.70 so far. Just another $200 for the compliance check and then the Registration. Will break it all down when I get back from week off. I'm a little overstreached at the moment trying to may myself afford it, but almost there.

Jesus.......coming from the 'States its hard to imagine you being happy with 16490 for a Tiger. 16490 would get me a base Ducati 1098. Its all relative though I guess so as long as your happy.

The Daytona 675 was the first new 600 sports bike I ever rode and I loved it. I remmember when I went to the dealer (one of the few in my area where its relatively easy to get a test ride) I saw a few Tigers and liked the look of them.

Thanks. The Tiger was US$10699. They cost a lot more here in NZ.

Congrats on your new bike they are great to ride all right.

I did my second test ride on one today and Bent51 had a ride as well.
We took out a Sprite and a Tiger and swap back and fourth.

We both liked the Tiger over the Sprite and that is not to say the Sprite is a bad bike.
And there are things we liked about the Sprite over the Tiger.
We just like the Tigger better and had more fun on it.

I would like to buy a Tiger and it is down to money and trade in.

Yes a fantastic bike Sels1 I had a ball on it, and was amazed at how easy it is to ride. Those big wide bars make it so easy to corner. All I got to do now is learn to corner standing up:2thumbsup.
If I do get one I'll look forward to your next trip down to Woodstock;)

If you ever have a warranty claim and hit a snag cos it's a grey import, I heard Ducati Australia were honouring claims that the NZ importer wouldn't, so a shot at Triumph Oz might work

There are MANY bikes to be had in the US. Check out www.ebay.com. The prices are stunningly low. Brought my Bandit over here about 4 years ago and it's worth more than what I paid for it now than when I bought it there, including shipping, MAF. COF, WOf, etc.
Economy of scale makes a big difference in the cost of things here in NZ.

the aussie Ducati importer is the NZ ducati importer!!!!
