I've just got a small quad and a PW50 for the squids to learn on.

Where is a good place around orkers?

I was thinking Murawai beach, but I don't have a 4wd. Can I get on and off the beach anywhere using my cage towing a trailer? It's low tide tomorrow around 3pm.

Where else is good around west orks? I'm thinking wide open spaces.

We ended up at Armour bay reserve. It has a large grass area and is a long way from any houses. The squids had a ball, first time really, no offs or other drama.

There was another dad there and his kids looked keen, so I let his eldest have a ride on the quad. He said that he had before (yeah right). He did the death grip full throttle thing and I had sprint along after him and yank his arm off the throttle. (me "sprinting" is a bit of an over statement!!!!)

The peewee developed a flat spot at about 1/4 throttle which I'll have to have a look at, more starving for gas than rich. The air screw made bugger all difference.

Anyway, only 2 minutes in the car on the way home was "when can we go again Dad?". I'll be checking out somewhere to take the DR and KDX next time and the oldest squid who wasn't there today.
