Hello all,
Had my first spill the other day :( which in retrospect was probably a good thing... I was getting far too cocky and a wee spill on a back road with only a wing mirror lost as collateral wasn't so bad. I've got a lot more respect for sharp wet corners now and am slowly getting my nerve back!
Anyway, just wanted to say I'm stoked with the camaraderie I've witnessed among bikers. There must be some sort of weird gravitational pull between riders. It's been pretty cool so far.
So if you see a girl round the lower north island riding a suzukiFXR150 with one less wing mirror and some extra scratches, give us a wave :wavey:
No worries, welcome and enjoy your time here .

You know you didn't have to break your mirror to be welcome here, right? ;)
Welcome on KB!

I've seen an FXR be dropped twice now and the only damage is continuously just one mirror down. The mirror frame seems strong enough to hold the rest of the bike up. Lol although it aint like the stock mirrors help you to see anything other than your arm anyway!

When I rode my gf's FXR up from Fielding, I chucked my elbow out and looked under my arm to see what was behind me ;)

Cheers for all the haere mai's
Finally got the new wing mirror thanks to Phil Turnball's. Grrr to motormart for continously sending me wrong parts. Does that happen often at bike shops or just that one?
Turnball's gave me a courtesy bike while they stripped the bike to get a speedo light bulb in. Woohoo. A Yamaha scorpio 225. fun fun.
Now, on the subject of replacing parts, it seems everything on the FXR is tiny and hard to get at or is does that go for all bikes too?

I got my bike through Phill Turnball, and I found hem a great bunch to deal with too. Also I have heard rumours that Motomart is not on the popular list to deal with,, but I havent dealt with them myself.
And I do find doing repairs on the bike is a pain as everything is squeezed into a tight space and you seem to have to remove half the bike to fix one small bit........:bash:
