i've heard a rumour that the Steve Roberts built Aluminium Monocoque chassis GS1000 was in one of the early Motocourse annuals.
gioven its racing history its probably the 82/83 one if any as the plastic fantastic replaced the Aluminium one in 1983.

can anyone with one of these books please confirm or deny this??

cheers

Dave H and the Aluminium Bike at the IOM TT appear on page 159 Motocourse 1982-83 issue (Franco Uncini)

Its listed as a 997cc Suzuki

Dave finished 3rd in the IOM TT F1 race and 9th in the Classic (won by Dennis Ireland on a RG 500 Suzuki).

Just as an aside to the topic, Crash.net had a short survey a couple of weeks ago, as to whether anyone would be interested in buying Motocourse back issues in digital form. Such a cool idea, which apparently did appeal to a lot of punters, so it looks like we could be seeing something like that in the future. They won't replace the original bound versions, of course, but won't cost what you have to pay for them now either.
Cheers

sorry for thread dredge.

actually, I'm not sorry at all.

I am looking to buy Motocourses to complete my collection.

I'd particularly like the first four. I'd also not like to have to pay $500USD for the first one.

I've also got some holes in the 1990's and 2000's if anyone has any to sell.

I've got a spare 91/92 16th addition if you haven't got it. Rainey is on the cover.
