Hi everybody.
I have just joined the forum so I thought that I would introduce myself.
I've been riding on and off for 33 years and on the road for 27ish years. Most recently most of my riding has been about 35,000 kms on tracks as an instructor for the California Superbike School in the UK so I got to ride on race tracks throughout Europe, UK and the USA. It was a tough job but somebody has to do it. I did that for 5 years but stopped when I moved back to NZ.
I am currently looking for a bike and I have a few ideas on what I want but am in the early days of my hunt so hopefully I will have a new toy soon and can join some of you good folk out on the road.
Hope to see some of you soon.
Cheers
Darren

Ah yes a good question. But it could have 2 answers. The first is that there is a California in London (true) but the actual reason is that some bloke in California started a school that became very successful and world reknowned so another bloke in the UK thought that he should buy in and use the same name as the reputation was already in place. When the guy in OZ bought in he said ahh we are in Australia therefore we are the Australian Superbike School. Several years later he sucumbed and became Californian as well.
But yes you are right, California is in the States.

Hi Dubshack.
Greetings and salutations.
A man after my own heart. A biker and a vdub fan. I had a 1967 1300 for 24 years. It did a gizillion miles and never let me down. I taught 2 out of three of my kids to drive in it and ended up selling it so I could finance them into cars of their own. I paid $1325 for it and sold it for $3200. f**k I wish I never sold it. Dispite the old belief that "IT" can't be done in a vdub NOT TRUE!! You didn't need the KAMA SUTRA when you owned a vdub you just mastered your own positions.LOL
Would like to see pic's of the bike when you get it:niceone:

Gudday Darren and welcome to the site!
I look forward to your input. Is there any chance of setting up something similar (but on a smaller scale) here?
