I got a bike on Boxing day.
Had to pay for it my self though. (Had to sell my saxaphone :crybaby: )

Picked up another KR150 for $500
Bit ruff, but it's got the barrell I need to get my KR racer back on the track.

If been struggling to fine a secondhand barrell for 6 months. Brand new cost is over $900, So with this $500 bomb, I hopefully get a useable barrell and heaps of other spares as well.

No it a 225cc motor, think of a XT250, it the same thing but called a Serow.

If you look at it closely it is a up spec model, as it has a rear disc and
adjustable rear shock, you can just see the remote rear dampener on the
front frame down tube.
They all so come with the button to make starting easy.
By the way it's regoed etc, and goes real well, but a bit soft in the
suspension for my weight and riding, but is fine for Sal.
Sal does not have big wheel envy any more and can ride with the grown ups.
Now I'm running for cover.

PS:
AND SAl say's it's PINK. (I think I will have to do some painting)

Read somewhere that it comes from "S(treet) Carver" i.e. good in traffic, dosnt sound very Germanic I know but I believe it was designed by the same Brit designer that did the original F650 and lumbered it with "Funduro",also not terribly Germanic.

Got the book "Long Way Round",great read did it in a couple of days-worth of spare hours(fast reader). Also got myself a really cheap CRM250 from a bike dealer off of Ebay, trouble is it was such a bargain it seems extremely likely that the bastard is trying to wriggle out of the deal, every time I phone him there`s a different excuse.Paid for it with plastic as in Britain at least(though not mainland Europe)the law says that whatever you buy on your credit card(though not debit card) is the responsibility of the Bank,so if he keeps pissing around I`ll go to them for a full refund and they can get their money from him.Dont want the money though, want the bike and am rapidly getting very pissed off.Part of me is pretty sure that he`ll come up with some crap about it being stolen or something and offer me all my money back, which will have tided him over very nicely over the holidays as virtually an interest-free loan.

Got a Fly MX helmet, and a very, very special book - Ralph Watson,Special Engineer....for those who may have heard the name, the man who built The Lycoming Special.

Well I have just got my late Xmas bike.

Since we got a regoed Yamaha Serow XT250 for my partner.(early Xmas pressie)

It was only fair that I got a new bike as well.
So I traded in the 00 KTM 520 EXC and Sal's 03 Kawasaki KLX 125 L for a
03 KTM 640 LC4.

So I can adventure ride and do general riding with her.
I did not like the idea of doing low speeds on the Guzzi, as the bike and I
do not do that very well.

So far I have not found the extra weight a problem and can't wait to take it
out for a good off road ride. Bash plate is on order and a fitment kit so I
can fit a spare set of Bark Busters I have.

Now I have to resist the temptation to Motard it.

So look out Dangerous next time you are in the hills.

Heres a pic of my new toy looks like.

My baby loves hairpin bends! ....not sure I do all the time...
Between Gudvangen (Nærøyfjorden) and Voss you find Stalheimskleivene; a wery bendy road! And I met a bus on my way up; I nearly wet my pants....

There's still no price on the new Triumphs, so there's no telling how long it'll take for them to actually land in the country. :brick:

Anyway, The Man can stuff it up installing them on my Honda and it'll give him practice for when he has to re-mount them to the Triumph.
