They're all getting road registered to be used as commuters...

I think the real issue isthat with the ever increasing fuel prices small cc bikes have become disirable and pieces of shit that would normally be butchered into a track weapon have a far greater value as a road registered comuter hack.

But the answer above uses logic and makes sence, so................................................ .................................................. .................................................. .................................................. ..........................

Its a MNZ conspericy, the go round buying all the small capacity bikes in order to force every one up into the lager capacity bikes class, increasing there profile and then selling the TV rights for squilions of dollars.

The other thing to consider is, buckets can cost quite a bit to make.
Wheels, tyres, and all the little bits and pieces like calipers etc can all add up to $$$$ :eek5:
But don't let that put you off, cause it's great fun making one :)

I have appeared to have upset the Ivan fan club.........I'm not "having a go", just pointing out that Ivan (ginger brother of our Dangerous) starts more bucket projects than he finishes. Friendly banter that goes back away!

Still Ivan's been a good source of starter projects for you Norf Island lot.

Top class buckets are around $1000. That's proven, fast, and well set up.

To a bucketeer your NZ is worth the wheels and brakes. Nothing more.
That's why I want your other one...

Doesn't take long to add up all of the bits which escalates the price, that's for sure.

My AX100 cost $1500 to get to the state it was last month (ie running, fast, and a good setup) and took three years to get to that state. $100 initial outlay.

I can't see anyone paying $1000 for it though.

Pete's quite strong on gas requirements, but Meths is (was?) still legal in pre72 hence the TM400 if that is what you are getting at.

But years ago someone was trying to run his old bucket on his dyno on Av before it was legal in buckets (is now) & he smelt it & made him drain the tank & start again with pump gas. I'd trust what he builds is legal to class rules, but a good tuner will read the rulebook & push to the very edge of the rules.

But don't want to get into any idle conjecture about specifics.
