Go Queensland!!!
I don't care about the bling, but I'll go Queensland 12 NSW 8.
I used to always make a few bets when I was at high school with some mates back in the early 90's (Bring back Alfie!!)... when Queensland used to win most times, so I used to drink a lot of free piss!!

No online stream this year. Gutted.
I might watch it with the sound down.
One day I dream of the technology where I can watch bike racing and football and listen to the sounds of it without the added commentary. Or choose my own, TSL style.

Sky used to (and possibly still do, we are on cable now) send both the kiwi and aussie commentary. We would always pick the aussie comentary as it was less biased.
Go Queensland 36-12

Bring back the biff
Dare I say it born in the land of cockroaches - Sydney, however I want to see the Maroons win more in Sydney town.
I recall the very early state of origin series, it was like preparing for a state of war.
Tonight
QLD 25 - NSW 24
http://tvnz.co.nz/view/page/410965/1790197
Queensland will start raging hot favourites for Wednesday's game after a flood of money today for the Maroons to win the series opener despite winning just once in 12 visits to ANZ Stadium.
Heads Up and Enjoy

Can someone explain why so many apparently rational Kiwis give a flying f- about two Australian teams playing each other?

When I started watching League, there was no Warriors, and bugger all on tv at 10:30 at night, so it has become a habit/tradition. Same reason some people give a shit about Football teams in Great Britain I guess.

NSW 14,drop goal in last minute for QLD.
Hurricanes 29-Crusaders 32.Goes against the grain but the cantabs should be too strong, and we have too many thickos in our pack, mind you if it's close you can bet McCaw will yell for the drop kick this time.Have put hurricanes by 12 and under on virtual super 14 with telecom.

Some of the ones during the 80's were great, even a bit of league was played in between the fights.
Used to like Wally Lewis giving it to the blues, and usually coming off second best.
The Mark Geyer era was as good as Willie Mason for giving shit. Both thick bastards.
Also helps when Mal Maninga married a Patea lady, was driving through the main street of Patea years ago and saw the guy walking along with his kiwi family, out of nowhere people arrived to mob the man.

The first SoO game I watched was played in the rain. It was pissing down and I mean pissing down. Mud everwhere. Mal Maninga, Wally Lewis were both playing. Think that was in the late eighties.

Roy n HG doing a compare?????????
The Kiwis should play a one off match against the winner of state of origin instead of the Anzac test.
We realistically will struggle to be consistent with the test matches and this will give the kiwis a taste of origin in a way.
