Funny isn't it LOL
It's Corporate US saying "If you can't say something nice... don't say anything at all". It's all to help "boost shopper confidence" FFS!!!!!
I wonder if eBay were being sued over bad feeback given by person A to person B or something stupid...

I just tried signing in and this is what I got.
So in the future how are sellers supposed to know if a buyer is a genuine one or a timewaster??

Basically they're saying negative feedback doesn't work. I've had negative feedback from a crooked seller simply because I dared to give them negative feedback first. Most peeps are too scared to leave negative feedback.

I've had some good sellers who've left positive feedback as soon as I've paid, which is how it should be really, since there's nothing the buyer can do to affect the sale once they've paid.
Why don't they just get rid of the feedback system altogether if sellers can only give buyers positive feedback? It defeats the whole point of the system! :bash:
We should do the same with rep.
The red ones reeeaaaaallllllyyyy hurt my feelings.
Sometimes, it makes me die a little inside.

Well, sounds like you will have to leave positive feedback with abusive comments then... :msn-wink:
Or find their IP addresses, track them down, pour petrol on them and burn them.

mehhh. ebay.. I prefer KB... (is the boss watching?)
Got this from the site. Sounds sweet to me.
"No negative or neutral Feedback for buyers
The previous system prevented buyers from leaving honest Feedback since they feared retaliation from the sellers if they left a negative. This made it harder for buyers to distinguish between sellers while making bidding or buying decisions. In addition, when buyers received negative Feedback, they reduced their activity in the marketplace, which in-turn harmed sellers."

Which reduces the feedback system to an activity count of sorts - much like the KB rep system.... except we get -ve rep too...

Yes, life is a little backward... we need to have the carefree freedom at the end when we're closer to knowing it all, not at the start when we only think we do.

Yes, life is a little backward... we need to have the carefree freedom at the end when we're closer to knowing it all, not at the start when we only think we do.
That beckons the question whether we would indeed get any closer to knowing it all if we didn't have the freedom to explore it...
Life must be understood backwards; but... it must be lived forward.
But yeah, it sucks that we're not very likely to be able to afford that nice 911 turbo until we're quite a bit older. I sometimes suspect that the mid-life crisis is more about actually having the funds and some of the freedom to pursue those dreams we couldn't afford when we were younger, as opposed to any physiological change.

What a load of dried up camel dung...hang on, that's actually negative towards camels: at least their dried up faeces have a use in the building of accomodation for the nomads.
Anyway...once again, I feel humanity is sinking into a massively miasmic cesspool of worthlessness and I wonder as to what kind of legacy we are leaving our offsprings.
Gawd, this is so farking depressing! :angry2:
