That's it...I'm voting Labour
P/T OFF
I Don't care what Labour has to offer! They have to go........
This is their desperation attempt to try and recover votes and we all knew it would come. A desperate communist machine running an equally desperate policy campaign.
Problem is - They've proved they're liars and the public know that and are realising that a tax cut here will either be undone after the election or re-imposed through another form of taxation. That's how labour works.
Nothing is for free and nothing is as good as it seems.
At least with a National tax cut - What you see is what you get!
Bring on the Elections!!! National all the way!!!

Youve summed up that smart alecs demeanour 100%. What really also irks me is that a National Government ( whilst still away from my own personal desires in a Government ) if re-elected in 99 and thereafter would have made more opportunity of the golden economic weather from overseas commodity sales. By that I mean creating meaningful employment. That would have meant 50,000 more ''paid beneficiaries'' ( civil servants ) wouldnt have been created and would otherwise have been doing something productive, ideally earning for the country rather than sucking from the state gravy train.
When I vist cemeteries I follow old fashioned etiquette in not walking over graves. But someway in the future I will have much pleasure in walking over Cullens grave. The only greater pleasure will see the smirk disappear from his dial on election night. Bring it on!

...A desperate communist machine...
Desperate they are. Communist they are not. Please educate yourself, or you'll forever appear to be a lackwit.
They've proved they're liars and the public know that
This is part of growing up: realising that the set of politicians and the set of liars are almost entirely identical.
Nothing is for free and nothing is as good as it seems.
Ditto.

Pure. Comedy. Gold. LOL!

Sorry, 3 years to late - or more like 6 years. Promised before and cancelled, and this so called tax cut won't even make up for inflation by the time it comes in, let alone the fisal drag of the last 9 years.
I worked out how much extra tax I am paying due to inflation and fixed tax brackets (not to mention all the new taxes, like petrol tax, etc) and it makes it clear why I am so broke and can't afford the lifestyle I had 9 years ago, despite supposedly earning more.
End of the line Helen, while Natioanl won't be much better as they don't have the balls to do what has to be done, at least it will be a change.
I have been seriously looking at jobs in Oz recently - looks like $20k/year extra in the hand compared to here with the difference in tax rates and wage rates for the same job. Get more holidays too, and 9% super on top. Once I get my CPeng...

Ha ha wait till the $ drops to US 0.70c then watch the price of go go juice. We are in the beginning throws of a pretty traumatic economic phase & the ride is gunna get a lil bumpy
Time to start seriously looking at ways to reduce our dependance of renewable resources. Sola is a good start.
