Anyone got any clever tips for sealing the float bowl? The rubber seal (a ring in a groove) has gotten all old on me. Can't get a replacement either.

I thought of gasket glu... Anything better?

I've got some high-temp RTV that might do the trick. I'll drop it in your letter box tomorrow if you want to give it a try. Let me know.

Is it avgas compatible? The last time I tried an RTV the avgas seemed to dissolve it...

It doesn't say...It's CRC Red Gasket 260 (http://www.crc.co.nz/images_prods/419.jpg)

I've also got some Hylomar Universal Blue (http://www.hylomar.co.uk/universalblue.htm)this says it's resistant to combustion products, water, engine coolant, petroleum, lubricating oils, kerosene and fluorocarbon refrigerants
