According to a poll by Bennetts, Angelina Jolie’s ride to the rescue in ‘Lara Croft: Tomb Raider’ has been voted “Best motorcycle movie moment”.

Steve McQueen’s chase to the border in ‘The Great Escape’ came second, followed by Tom Cruise’s ride in Top Gun. Other memorable moments include scenes from The Terminator and The Matrix series of films.

Of course she was going to win. She has boobs..and very nice boobs at that. No matter what the topic under judgement was - the one with the best boobs out there swinging for all to admire, will win. I'm not complaining by the way.

Personally I've always enjoyed the riding scenes in Easy Rider. A good mix of sweeping scenery, cool bikes and well matched music. The first glimpses of Capt America's bike ,up real close as the camera pans up the fork tubes, across the tank...teasing the viewer until the full view of the bike is revealed... nice!

There are a few Bond movies with some good bike antics. Remember the BMW1200C riding over shanty town rooftops.

The best bike scene by far has to be the cat fight scene from Torque.

Or the jump onto a moving train scene from the same movie.

What were they thinking.

Terminator 2 gets my vote as having the coolest bike chase sequences.

Ronin gets my vote as the best modern car chase sequence.

Agreed, particularly about Ronin.

I'm on the same page...

The opening shots of Harley Davidson & The Marlboro Man with Mickey Rourke riding between Dallas & LA have some good feel to them... Guess that flick dived at the box office and slumped into obscurity though....

That's probably because the voting demographic don't know any better, probably due to being of the younger generation...

AND/OR, the options were very restricted to start with...

I hate anything unrealistic in movies. EG helicopters flying through tunnels with the blades scraping the sides :woohoo:

Worst motorcycle scenes have got to be either in the xXx movies and tomb raider when she is jumping the bike around the garage and doing stoppies etc.
