The GT250R (google it) gets a lot of respect from the public. It LOOKS like a serious contender while being a genuine learner bike. It is easy for experienced riders to pick faults with it, but for styling bang for the buck they are nearly without peer. Pick up a tidy second hand one for 4k and a VERY tidy 2nd hand one for 5.5k

By the time folks click its just a learner bike you will be onto bigger and better things. ;)

I've never had a bike before and need to know what type of bike to get, I have ridden an XL 250 (1984)to Ponsonby and never been able to pull chicks, where am I going wrong?

What kind of bike could increase my rep.

Isnt Ponsonby the Gay capital of NZ?

Just ask yourself what type of chick are you likely to pull riding an XL 250 in Ponsonby or any where else for that mater?

yeah I'll check out uni, I've seen heaps of Arab dudes pull chicks on scooters so if they can do that then I must be able to get something on an XL?

Well I dont think that a Honda is gay enough for you and since eddie murcury is dead, elton john is busy and george michael prefers public toilets. I guess you need to go back to standing on the couner and hope you get lucky... :buggerd: :Pokey:

Done the multiple Honda thing at one time or another, but had all the other Japanese brands also. Like westie said, gixxers crash heaps and as its different riders but the same of bike, well we can all see the common factor. As for standing on the courner, never had to stoop that low. Considering my first road legal bike was a 81 xl100s and I could still get a girlfriend, I guess things are not looking good for you...:jerry::msn-wink:

Have just viewed a yamaha virago 250. I have been told that it is a real magnet. My friend told me the engine is a really good engine.

Probably the best looking 250cc so if your wanting to impress the girls then that might give you the best kudos. The engines are definitely good and everyone I know that has or had one all have great things to say about them.
