I am placing an order for Hyosung parts for my GT250R tomorrow and wonder if anyone else needs/wants anything and would like to split freight.

PM me or post here.

Cheers,

Mavis

Iv been tossing up between one and a new ninja, the Dealers have admited to me that parts can be rather hard to get for the Hyo...........

Depending on your dealer.

It sometimes works out cheaper and easier if you get the parts direct from Korea.... But then again have not had the need to purchase any parts as of yet...:)

Yeah, parts are available from the dealer. It's just at about 3 times the price out of Korea! I'm sorry fella's, but I'm not paying $400 for a mirror when I can get that same mirror for about $120 freight included within 7 days from 'the man'!

ok BiK3RChiK and me will bring in a bunch of stuff, since we will likely have three of these bikes before long.

We are thinking of keeping a range of spares like oil filters, mirrors, levers, indicator lenses, key blanks, etc etc. SUGGESTIONS PLEASE !

We are happy to pass spares along to hyo KBers who are in a bind with a small margin attached (the bigger the bind the bigger the margin lol). That will give you three choices - NZ sourced oem ($$$$), us ($$) or import your own ($)

This makes us (and you) VERY flexible, Break a lever out in the boondocks and we can courier you a new one overnight, complete with the tools to fit it.

BEAR IN MIND we are fellow KBers just wanting to help out, so dont flame us please when we are unable to help you within your timeframe. Also, we might change our mind or our pricing if we get bored (or irritated) doing it, so PLEASE REMEMBER the above.

Of course, you are can easily import from the same place as us http://www.richardhyosunggvgt.com/ We do not have, and dont want, any exclusivity, or preferential deal or pricing from him.

HTH,
DB

I don't understand your first sentence, but am assuming you would like me to get you a lock set for your Hyosung? The lock set here http://www.richardhyosunggvgt.com/cometgt125250650rs.htm at the bottom of the page is showing the set of 3 locks in it.

The current N.Z retail for GT 250-R mirrors is $90.21 - the Parts Catalogue N.Z Dealers were originally supplied has an incorrect part # for the L/H mirror, which is actually the part # for a LH & RH mirror "set" which has a N.Z retail of around $315.00...

This has been corrected in subsequent catalogues...

Mirror RH 56500-HP-9200
Mirror LH 56600-HP-9200

Mirror Set 56501-HP-9200

Thanks Wheeliemonsta. I just rang the dealer and you are correct. Except, Kawasaki New Zealand are out of stock and it will take about 18days to get here.

A mate of mine two weeks ago ordered one and said it cost him $400:gob: so that is where I got that figure from. Maybe he got them to fit it or something...

Thanks for the heads up, but I will still place the order today.

I believe the distributor has an order waiting to go into stock as we speak...

The "18 days" you speak of is more likely to be 4 ~ 6 weeks in reality, this is due to Hyosung having moved it's "Parts" operation from one side of Korea to the other - you can imagine the logistical nightmare that would be... :yeah:

just give richard a part number and he can sort you out straight out of hyosung factory, as i believe he lives 5 mins down the road from there

parts that usually go caput on a hyosung when you bin (i've done it a few times :(

-mirrors (aftermarket ones can be sourced locally, although the hyo ones look a look better. i have mismatched mirrors right now lolz. basically its the base of the stem that breaks all the time, the mount base is solid and never breaks. what you do is buy a set of i think zx11 mirrors or similar that mounts and same way into the base, m8 bolt i think it is and off you go)
-indicators (definitely can source aftermarket ones locally, turns out marginally cheaper after you factor in shipping)
-brake and clutch levers (i think CBR/hornet ones are a direct drop in)
-gear lever
-rear brake lever

I bought some accessories for my GV250 earlier in the year from Richard - excellent service, good prices, and startlingly quick turnaround. Thoroughly recommended. Freight is expensive, helps if you buy more than one thing at a time! :)

I'm getting the standard GT250R mirrors. I could only get the set, which was $80USD. All figures on his website are in USDollars...

Yeah, he was pronto with e-mails. Hopefully I got the order in time for it to be sent yesterday. I'm kinda hoping it is here before the weekend. I've ordered a few things, so I can live with the high freight charges... Just hoping I don't get lumped with Customs or GST!

Sorry, a bit late, i've been away for a while.

I replaced mine with CBR600 Mirrors.
$45 per mirror, rather than $91 for a Hyo one.

The fit is identical.

Yeah, I was told about this, but I've got a set from Korea for $80USD which I thought was a damn good price! All the same, thanks for that Gubb.

cyclespot in barryspoint road takapuna are hyosung dealers, a selection of basic parts didnt appear that expensive there were several other nz sites selling spares and seemed resonable
