here (http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/Motorbikes/Motorbikes/Sports/auction-152743684.htm)

I strongly urge dont buy it.

He bought it off me for 3200 (screwed me down 800 because cyclespot told him the shims were rooted), he never got the shims done and wants an extra 1k than what he paid for it.)

its tired and will cost over 5,000 all up to get it sorted.

I hope this helps.

Do you think it is worth blacklisting the trader?

Do you think it is worth blacklisting the trader?

Nah. hes a normal dude, just trying to spend less and gain more. pissed me off though.

I mailed him:

nice to see you are making a profit on a bike that you screwed me $800 for and never actually got the shims down. btw im helping you sell it: http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?p=1579705#post1579705

and replied:

If it sells... yes it will be awesome, but no interest :(

I dont think he quite got my tone...

my paint used to look like:

Yep, my bro paid $3200 for it... he loves VFR's but couldn't really afford any more than that, so he said he'd make an offer that he could afford, not really believing Morcs would agree to it, but thought he was really lucky when he did...

Buyer beware as per usual.

Trademe is very weird. I've sold some used stuff in the past that got into a bidding frenzy (meeting a demand I guess) and sold for more than it could be purchased for new. I give free shipping when this happens, because I'm a good c... as well :niceone:

I went and looked at this bike, and to tell you the truth it is a piece of shit and in bad condition. Nice guy and all but it would struggle to even get 3K I reckon.

I paid $400 less than his price on mine, it has about 10,000km less on the clock, and its bloody mint as. This guy would be lucky if he gets $3500 if what you guys are saying about this bike is true.

Pfffttt Dude I don't need to have 10,000 posts or ride anything but a Honda to be a mac daddy bike geek like you, go have a proper look at it yourself fool and then tell me what you think.

If you think this bike is worth anything near 4K, this just shows you know nothing about bikes

Okay so a bit of thread necromancy here (I'm a necrophiliac, how well do you play dead?) but seeing as it is my good name on the line here I thought I deserved at least one good comment (just managed to remember my KB login after ages).

I find it hilarious that in one breath Morcs is all annoyed because I'm asking for as much as he wanted from me for the bike - and in the next breath saying what a piece of shit it is. Of course it makes me feel a little bit like a chump, but in saying that - the price I was asking on Trademe said "open to offers" and since I've never been very good at negotiating I threw some extra on top there to give me some leeway...

Oh well. with all the drama I'm probably just gonna keep her and restore her slowly (when I can find a garage to work in). She still pulls beautifully and handles like a dream.... yes I'm falling in love again - so please can you all stop talking so badly about my mrs.

The problem is you ripped me off.
'oh no the shims need doing, you'll have to knock $800 off the price'

and then you never got them done. then have the audacity to try and sell it for even more.

Cnut. you better hope you dont see me anytime soon.

Tit for tat will get you both no-where. Whats done is done. The bike will probably never sell after this, or some gumby will waltz in and buy it no questions. It did seem like there was some underhand tactics in there though.
Good luck both of you.

No idea if the bike is any good...but from your above post you sound like a whinging little kid.

Unless he held a gun to your head, you sold it for that, live with it!!

But bad mouthing someone and his bike he is selling because you suck at negotiation just means you are not a "good" cunt...that makes what you are doing alot worse then what he did (which is just normal negotiation)

I did some work on the bike which I believe raised the value...

Gave it a wash and lubed the chain?

I dont believe that this thread is still going. Morcs you sold the damn bike, you didn't have to if you didn't like the price. But to come on a forum and try to stuff up any chance of the new owner to onsell it just because you feel aggrieved by your own decision in the first place is really over the top. Its not yours anymore. Let it go.

I know a guy who owns a NC30 that could afford 20 lawyers. I also know a guy who owns a NC30 that needs a lawyer. These are two different people though and thats just too bad I guess.

Snowman, this bike is on the market again and I MIGHT be interested, but I'm in Welly. I'm up for failring and respray work, but motor work is a worry. What did you think was worrysome about it?

Thanks,
