it involved not putting the stand out properly, overbalancing, a controlled decent onto the gargre floor, and dragging my leg over the VERY hot pipe as i gracefully stepped/rolled off it. not a happy camper. no breakages to the bike, just some very small hero scratches.

What can I say. :eek5: Bad luck but never wear shorts. I have had a similar burn from my XT 250 years ago. Put nothin on it but keep it covered and clean it it will heal well. Bad memories for me. Take care

I hope you cleaned the wound properly.... and covered it....
if it gets infected at all, get to the dr or hosp to get some drugs to help it...
That looks sore. And burns need to be treated properly.....

Better use some hydrogen peroxide to make sure it's all clean inside. Really rub it in for best effect!

I remember doing something similar years ago on my XR250, was going up a steep gradient on some rather mushy ground and before you know im flat on my back with the darn XR exhaust tip on my shoulder. Flicked the bike off darn quick.
