Me poor lil RG is having some issues and isnt running at the moment, so I left him at home today. Luckily I had a weird feeling this morning and put the disc lock on it. When I got home this evening it was lying on its side (side stand side) and it definately looked like it had been moved as the disc lock was in a different place (the disc had rotated when the bike was moved). Ive had a looksie at the disc but its a bit dark. It appears to be OK but how can I really tell that the disc hasnt been damaged? Is it best just to replace it or am I being anal?

if you cant see any real damage, its probably fine. riding it will soon tell you if there is somthing wrong, if it has been bent it will shake like a dog shitting razor blades.

Thanks for that. Hopefully he'll be up and running again soon so I can actually find out!

I dont know your bike SJ, does it have a centre stand? if so just spin the wheel, any serious damage will be evident. I doubt that it will need replacing unless it's been forced.

Good luck.

Wheel it along and VERY gently pull the brakes on so they just drag. They should be even not on-off-on-off.

Aww no that sucks Hels! On both accounts that the RG isn't workin and that some one messed with it. Do you know why it stopped workin?

As Skunk said... You can tell if it's been pretty bent by wheeling it.

All the best with it :)

Not yet, havent even looked at it. I know it is nothing major though. Just gotta find some time! Malcolm's letting me use the VFR for now anyway....
