This my first time to write something like this so we'll see how it goes. If any one sees me at the track come say hello :spudwave:. Especially if you have any ideas/constructive criticism on my riding I'm always open to improvement. :Playnice:

Well I’d been quite looking forward to this for a while now which didn’t help when I was trying to sleep the night before. Also didn’t run out of diesel or have any other issues unlike the last time I had been to taupo :argh: which I was a bit concerned about.

I got to the track in plenty of time and got the bike all set up ready to go. Hadn’t forgotten anything which is all good.

Scrub in confirmed that the bike was going alright and changing to GP shifting (1 up - 5 down) was working alright. I had changed my road bike to this 2 weeks prior so had had a bit of time to get use to.

Qualifying went ok. No major issues just didn’t really get into a good rhythm then it was all over. Which placed me 12th on the grid. Wasn’t really happy with that as I know I can ride faster than that! But I knew I could only go up from here.

Race 1 i bogged down on the start and ended up losing about 3-4 places. The 1st couple laps or so I managed to pass a few people and ended up finished 12th.

Race 2 i got a slightly better start but I definitely need to do a bit more practice on these I think. I caught up to a 125 and managed to pass it on the back straight. I stuffed a few corners especially bad when I got the bike all out of shape braking on some the straights allowing him to get past me but I was able to pass him back on the straights. Ended up finishing 10th with a best time of 1:51 something.

Overall I wasn’t happy with the results as I know I can ride better than that and have done in the past :bash:. Under brakes I was struggling to get my body position right which was causing the bike to get out of shape and stuffing up my corner entry :brick:.

A big thank you to the Vic Club for making the day run so smoothly despite the large numbers :first:. Bring on round 2 with hopefully some better results :soon:.

I think that about covers it all :done:

:niceone:ahhhhhhh!

So you are "That Guy"!
I see you out racing quite often, have a chat and all but never made the mental link to your KB identity.
At least I think I know who you are now....
I'm the guy that used to have that REALLLY LOUD kawasaki green single.

Good shit man, keep it up and should see you at round 2! :niceone:

Yep, I get confused too. It seems as if we need two things to happen so we can make the connections
- Race Reports on KB should have a pic of the poster's bike so we can go " ... oh so THAT'S who that is ..."

- Race Bikes should have the KB identity painted on them somewhere

I have a worse problem in that I am stuck up in the cage all day and never get to talk to anyone at all. These race reports are about as close as I get to learning who anyone is

Me too :sunny:- and often I am too busy peering myopically through the eye piece of the camera that I forget to look and see 'who' it is. :dodge:

I have one or two good snaps but no idea who they 'really' are:gob:
