Who has a 08 Ninja 250R in Auckland?

And doesnt mind me coming to have a look at it, Im deciding what bike to get, but would really like to sit on and get a feeling for the position etc of these bikes. I DON'T want to ride it so no worries about that side of thing. :oi-grr:
I've already put a fully refundable deposit down on one so at least im in the Que if i like it :niceone:

Iv tried a Hyo so really just want to compare one of these in the flesh instead of just comparing specs.

none of the auckland stores have one in stock, they are all on back order. (at least none of the ones I have visited this week did)

Sat on one today. Put my name down for the next shipment that has bikes avaliable. It felt very comfy.

the story about the USA is true according to the guy I spoke to, he said that they are snapping them up faster than they can build them and we are just getting the leftovers.

there is a one in Mt.eden motorcycles. its there for a service and can not be ridden but can be looked at and sat on. me and a friend were looking for a bike for him and he had a wee sit on it. you will have to take your belt off and any scratching objects tho. they are very strict about that. To be honest I'm happy they are so strict.

I rang them and they said that it is sold.

Anyways, how do we know that they haven't thrashed in between the running in time?

and the fact that the warrenty doesnt transfer for kawasaki bikes. apparently only covers first owner (according to something else I read on here this morning)

Latest news of the next shipment to NZ is 5th July of the 250R Ninja. The ship is on the water and docks in Singapore. Our shipment is then transfered to another vessel which docks in Tauranga about the 29th June. All bikes are then trucked to Auckland for dispatch. So hopefully i will get mine around the 5th July.:woohoo:

Yep my dealer told me about that today, i couldnt win it if the odds were 1:2 ( i have good luck errrrrrr) and there were 50 draws but its nice knowing im in the draw

Just got back from Mt Eden m/c. They have had their first shipment in and have a demo available now.

Very happy i chose to wait for the Kawa...build quality looks really good on close inspection.
Got them to fire it up for me and its pretty quiet...though its only done 90kms so didn't want to rev it very high. I wouldn't say the sound is awe-inspiring but sounds cool all the same.

I was tossing up between the Hyosung and Ninja as I'm a big guy but having now sat astride one I think the Kawa will be ok.
The seating position is much more upright than the Hyosung to me.

All in all...i cannot WAIT!

As much as I would love to pay all 7 grand all right now I don't have the money.

I think the Ninja's look awesome, and are a great 250 choice. Glad to see the support. Being a Ninja rider myself (slightly bigger model), I think its fantastic there is an entry level bike, and many steps through the Ninja range. So, can I come along to the 250 Ninja ride too?
