I graduated last Wednesday! After taking 5 years to do a 4 year degree in Social Work I finally got to do the official stuff last Wednesday. Yay for me!! And the bonus was that I didn't trip up going across the stage! Phew!

I've had whanau staying since last Tuesday and it's been awesome! My 86yr old G/Mother even came up from Dunedin!

Thanks all, some of you know what a hellish journey it was at times to finish!
Lots of you have supported me directly with words of encouragement, hugs etc, punches in the arm and other acts of generosity. Couldn't have done it without lots of support & ribbing from my KBer family!

This photo is me actually getting capped just after I've been whooping and a hollerin' and generally jumping around on the stage.

P.s My official degree is: "Bachelor of Social Work, Second Class Honours, Division II"

You obviously made a big hit with the assembled academic staff. Look at the great gormless grins on their gobs, and one is even standing in delight. Was she one of your lecturers?

Tee hee! Indeed you are correct Hitch. It was a delight to bring a bit of whooping and general frivolity to the proceedings!
