Yep. FMJ is definately a better proposition for those toughened Beehive windows.

What kinda gun would you be using? Family has a 10acre block out these ways, haven't seen too many pests of late but could let you know if any start popping up... Interested as to what kinda gun though lol where does it sit within the extremes or an air rifle or a shotgun?

I will be using just a .22 Rifle at the time being.

The extreme range would be 2.5km, very extreme.

That's pretty extreme lol. We don't quite have that distance within our 10acres haha! If you just wanted to muck about with an air rifle and shoot some birds and the odd rabbit it'd prob be all sweet, but dunno 'bout a .22 and 2.5km sorry!

when i say extreme i mean that's the extreme distance a projectile will go.

I'd only be shooting at 100m

EDIT: If you have a bank etc, then that'd make a perfect backstop etc

Hmmm I'm just trying to think. One of the paddocks heads downhill a bit so I wonder if you sit down the bottom and set targets halfway up then it'd act as a backstop. Will have to wander out and check out if it'd be any good tomo morn sometimes.

Mate of mine has in-laws with a farmlet an hour south of Auck...

They're always inviting me down to engage in some population control of extraneous nuisance chirpers and tree munchers...

Shall have a word and see if we can make a day of it or summit...

Funny - I tapped my mate about this just last weekend.

His in-laws are keen to have a body or two help thin out the numbers of some fuzzy arsed pests.

'tis now a matter of weather and waiting for them to be home (they get around a bit) so stand by for a short notice PM!
