Watched Anstey take a win in today's TT races. All looked well at the champagne stage in the grandstand but he later lost the win due to an illegal exhaust.
Never mind. A few days' racing to go yet. Weather's not looking flash though.

Oh, dear - that would be gutting (if it sticks)
His team knows the rules :oi-grr:
Buggar!
yay :first:
just a pity it doesn't count
Poor Bruce has no luck there - his 600 not starting after a pit stop cost him a win last year.

From the IOMTT website it sounds like a completely unintentional error, as stated by the technical comittee, with no intent to gain a performance advantage.

They probably just got the parts mixed up. Its really easy to put the wrong exhaust camshaft in. It was due to the exhaust cam right?

understatement of the year:
"The Supersport race was going really well until the steering damper broke and with oil all over my visor and screen for almost two laps, it was tricky out there. It was a bit of a handful through the bumpy parts of the course and, after it broke, I just concentrated on bringing the bike home safely. After 8 laps of racing today, I was out of puff by the end of it but I've thoroughly enjoyed myself. It's been a good day and with two second place finishes, I've got to be happy." John McGuinness
