One of the things I have to do is tie a bike down on a trailer quite regularly. I have nowhere to store a bike trailer (or a trailer of any sort really) and the cost/benefit of owning one doesnt really stack up for me. So I hire from the friendly people at the local garage.
My point is that It is difficult to tie a bike down with out a front wheel rack of some sort. Surfing on tardme I see what I think is ideal. But I have no clue as to a maker or model, and google is not being that helpful. Wrong question probably, and the vendor doesnt seem to want to help.
So if you could look at the pic attached and ID the stand, and maybe let me in on the joke as to where to get one, I would be very grateful.
Thanks in advance. Oh, and if anyone wants to buy me the RD400 it is attached to, that would be fine as well. :)
Cheers

Try - http://www.ventura-bike.com/products.aspx?type=BikeStand
It looks like a Ventura bike stand. They are also making rear wheel stands of the simular design.
You should be able to get one from your local dealer in NZ.
I have seen a number of bike shops in Canberra & NSW with them bolted in to the pickup trailers.

they are awsome stand
i have one at home, handy for cleaning the bike,
it is also used to put the bike in the back of the van, to keep it upright and then just a couple of straps to hold it in place.
we also have two in bike trailer/furnture trailer, so we can put two bikes in the trailer together.

They were going for stupid money (there is a 400F in christchurch that has been for sale for, what 8 months because the guy wants craaaaaazy money for it, and he was going to charge people $100 to see it at one point. What is it, the bloody Mona Lisa?)
This one? I think its worth $1500 or so, and if it was in Chur chur and I could go see it, I would buy it for that (I am cashed up sort of having sold two bikes in the last month......). But I am not taking punts on tardme any more.
having said that I dont think the guy sold that TZ350 last month which would be an infinitely better bet and had some provenance with it: and it was only $4k IIRC. I am interested to see what it does go for
:D at kickaha, yeah its a 350 will you please buy it for me? should be cheap as with the missing cc's and all. ;)
