Well Two Smoker took the Rebel for a test ride today, and he absolutely loved her, despite not being able to do stoppies or wheelies on her!!! :devil2:

I reakon if i went for a long ride on it, i might be able to.... It was alot of fun to ride (MR you should have a go) the only problem was every corner i went around the pegs were grinding away.... Extremely comfy, and pulled reasonably well for a 250... Tried a stoppie but the front tyre isnt sticky enough... But if it had a sticky front tyre :shifty: will try get my knee down at another time....

Oh yeah - when turning a van or a car or 4x4 - at what degree should your knee ideally be bent? Does it matter if you hold the door with three or four fingers?


Also how much does bending your neck help the car turn?

I've also heard closing your eyes when you have an off makes the car automatically correct itself.

Thank God. Did you thank him for saving your life?.Na, cause we were just demonstrating how side car techniques can also be transferred to 4 wheels. We knew what we were doing.


Oh yeah - when turning a van or a car or 4x4 - at what degree should your knee ideally be bent? Does it matter if you hold the door with three or four fingers?Ideally you need to be changing your angle with relation to where you are in the corner. You need to have maximum bending angle when hitting the apex and adjust accordingly on the approach and exit. A 5 finger grip is required for maximum grip.


Also how much does bending your neck help the car turn?Bend your neck to adjust your head angle to view where you are heading. This will improve your lines and smoothness.


I've also heard closing your eyes when you have an off makes the car automatically correct itself.This must an advanced technique that I haven't practiced yet. Tho, I think it might just be not my style.

Don't worry, I was joking too.

I don't really ride on the road these days because I don't have a road bike. When I get one sorted, if we ever meet in a KB ride or something, I'll have a look at what you are doing.

You look alittle big, and I think a few tassles off the leathers should do it. Riff Raff, why did you buy that bike, Im not being rude just interested to hear? As I read somewhere you plan on a Ducati Monster, which to me is a very different looking bike to the mighty Rebel. :spudbooge
