Proud mum

Proud moment this morning as little boy left for school dressed in his motorcycling gear. This week has been book week, and the theme for today is "Heros and Heroines".

Well, they're never going to write a book about it, but his heroine is me. :hug:

I'm constantly aware of the responsibility carrying our children on motorbikes, especially since I am still a newbie on the roads. But days like today I just think how lucky he is to be able to share in something that is brings me joy.

I love taking him to soccer and mountain biking and reading him books - last night I was thinking that although it's expensive and they are a bit messy, it's kind of cool having a child. How lucky I am!

Just wanted to share that with people who understand :)

Yeah.. mine are bloody expensive, def a pain in the arse sometimes.. but mostly downright snuggable! :grouphug:

My little one is full on.. :eek: wears me out no end! :blink: but the time I love the best is when he's nearly asleep & I go in to check on him & he reaches up with his little arms for a cuddle, with his sleepy big brown eyes, & says "I love you mummy" :love:

gets me every time, it does! :crybaby:

Oh yes...my boy is 10 now, but we still hug and love each other as much as when he was a little one. I can still remember him as a baby snuggling his little forehead in the crook of my neck.:love:

He makes me proud ever single day, and I make sure to tell him so...He's the best thing I've ever done.

Awesome, that is pretty cool. I don't have kids but I can relate because I used to be taken to school (age 6,7) on the back of Dad's bike... a Honda 50cc I think, some of the best memories I've had. I thought I was just the coolest too :)

Yeah, kids are a pain sometimes, but as they grow up they become good friends and the bond strengthens.

I still get hugs from my kids. My boy is 17 and my size my girl is 13. He throws me around now! They get older but they still know their Daddy

He didn't win any prizes, but he's tops for me. I think he changed his character half way through the day, to becoming a rider out of the "Wild Hogs" movie. Fickle child! LOL.

Great post,might I say all parents are proud of their offspring,or if they aren't they shouldn't have had them.
Still when they have to go through seperation and other crap is hard,glad we never inflicted our personal crap on our kids,I kept telling mine it WASN'T their fault,and never ran their mum down when with them,and now at 16 & 18 they realise the love we gave them.Still think their mum is ....,and let them know a few truths about crap which they could be going through in 10yr or so as well lol.
Wish they were still 8 or so,but like the fact I can enjoy a beer with the older one and be dad/friend,telling them I'm there anytime,anywhere if needed.

I know my kids down south loved it.
My step son cant wait for my days off so he can look cool on the back of my bike. He is 14 so the girls think its hot lol.
The guys all hang around to watch him leave........ Just hope I dont stall or slip:sweatdrop. He has allready asked for a bike next year.
You have to be a great mum. Hearing you talk about it shows your pride.
