Wait, he was a health professional too? Lol??!!
"An Auckland City health professional had to be handcuffed to an ambulance stretcher"
I believe that once you act like that to Ambo staff they should be allowed to pull over and leave you on the side of the road.
Those guys have the hardest job - its disgusting that people act like that when they are only doing their very best to help.

Wonder if it was Dr Ropata. He rode back into Shortland St on a Harley last night.
(and no, I don't watch it. Flicked the chanel for Hwy Patrol too early):bleh:

I'd be pissed off as well if my leg was broken...
I reckon that the ambulance officer should just have nudged the crashee's broken leg and then carried on.

There is a lot more to that story than meets the eye ha ha.
O rly?
"Would be the first time then" :msn-wink:
Doesn't make the guy less of an idiot though. Glad to hear that proper care was applied in making sure he didn't aggravate his injuries

I too liked that fairy story - it was much more interesting than the real life one in The Harold. :first:
The pathos, the bathos, a bit of violence, the love interest, some blood'n'gore... why - it has ALL the ingredients for a good soap.
So - will it be a forth-coming episode on that execrable (cripes - that's the second time I've used that word this morning ) show the vifferbabe watches? :spudwhat:

Fuggin hilarious! (NOT that it ever happened of course).
..some of which may have a dark past in killing with ones bare hands without leaving much evidence (thankyou NZ SAS).
Mmm. There is a bit of this going on at the moment...
This imaginary character wouldn't be short, skinny and smiles quite a bit, by any chance?

Great story speedie!
I always nod at ambulance types and now my actions are justified....oh, and also when after nodding an ambo flashed her lights at me up north to warn of a cop last week (Thanks!)

Yeah I saw that accident - it was on the corner of my street... got there a couple of minutes after it happened. Hung around to see if I could help, picked the guys bike up. He was pretty agro, felt bad for the ambos. Bloody tough job they got there.
