Some wonderful members of society decided to help themselfs to my 06 crf 450 and 99 cr125 today. Kicked the door in on my garage and walked them out the door. We live on the corner of woodham rd and Kerrs rd real busy area in christchurch, somebody must have seen something just dont really know what to do next, really gutting feeling. Contacted the cops etc but does anybody know what or were to put info, i thought there might be a web site or something to post. The 450 is really distinctive its got black plastics with synapse graphics(sort of red skull type thing) white rear plastics with large wiseco stickers and carbon bash plate. Any info would be really appreciated, im also offering a reward for any info leading to the direct recovery of either of them.

Theres really not much that you can do. The cops come, finger print the premises and give you a number to pass onto your insurance company. Investigation over!!

Detective work, forget it.

Off road bikes especially, are just about untraceable as all they do is change the graphics and hey presto a different bike. Just be careful and vigilant because they will come back within a couple of months to knick the replacement bikes.

Thanks to everyone for the sympathy. Cops are coming round tomorrow to dust the place, the crf was on a stand which was left, and they stole my helmet that had a pair of goggles in it which they left on the ground, so heres hoping that the dumb sh"ts left their mark. Only been riding for about a year, started with the 125 and got bored with that so got the 450, best thing ive ever done (starting riding that is) always been into cars but they just dont compare. Selling all my car crap so i can get another bike, this ones goin into a lockup or maybe getting a bull terrier attached. Awesome forum to, just wish there was a few more locals on here to share info on riding places etc. My mates an i usually go to leithfield and do the waipara loop, but would love to know of any other areas worth looking at. I think we should be alot tougher on little prick taggers and thieves etc, i really blame the current PC enviroment were subjected to by the so called do gooders, lock the little bastards up! i know people will be saying "oh it justs makes them better crooks" then dont let them associate with one another. There must be something us contributing members of society can do, there doesn't seem to be any obvious solutions but i dont remember it being this prolifent 10 years ago before we went PC crazy and arent allowed to even discipline our kids. I know an early childhood teacher who is so disheartend by the system she wants out, the stuff that her supervisors say she cant say or do to the kids is bloody rediculous, stuff like you cant say "no" to them or pick them up and put them on the mat if they're refusing, its bullshit. Little bike thieves in the making; kids calling their teachers by their first names and treating them like their best friends, what a joke. No wonder they have no respect for anything, a little fear goes a long way in my book. Anyway enough of that might start searching for a new ride.

You might be surprised what the cops can come up with. Last year some scumbag kids broke into our garage when we were at my sisters wedding. The garage has an alarm but it wasn't armed and our dogs were in kennels. (Alarm is always on now). These geniuses stood on my chainsaw case to reach the spray cans on the top shelf. They left the bikes and tools alone but stole stuff like chain lube and brake cleaner??.

They wore socks on their hands to avoid fingerprints but one of these fucktards wiped his nose on a sock. They tried to get into the house but triggered the alarm and left everything strewn over the garden including the sock, a screwdriver and a footprint where they tried to kick in a door. The police came and took swabs and got a hit. I was amazed.

The cops phoned later to say they got one of the kids by using the DNA evidence to get him to own up to heaps of other crimes. He turned out to be 'special' and was off his medications. Apparantly he was real cocky until he got taken off his parents and put in a secure facility.

My commisserations on your loss ACE, - what a bummer - (I lost a GT750 Waterbus years ago).

I also heartily agree to your sentiments on Political Correctness. I visited a Kindergarten a couple of years ago with work - there was a trail of destruction everywhere - they had digi cameras lying on the floor, laptops everywhere (well a couple) - whatever the 'kids' wanted to do - they did, eg "I want to e-mail Mummy" "OK Johnny, lets do it"

The other thing I'm HOT on is buying stolen gear. Couple of weeks ago a mate of a mate (Who I had already decided was a dickhead) started offering a brand new Honda water pump for 100 bucks. I quickly confirmed it was 'hot' then jumped down the preeks throat. Anyone who deals in stuff like this does 2 things: 1.) Supports theft from YOU AND I, and 2.) Should expect to be ripped off/burgled/assaulted with no reason to complain.

Yeah, they do take finger prints,and any plod can process a print through a machine.
But check this out. When we got done over there was a film crew parked down the road. The crims even talked to the security there. They parked next to them for 5 hours!

We were the ones who investigated. The film crew even gave us descriptions for fucks sake. We passed this on to the cops and they asked us to go back and interview the crew some more, get their names phone numbers the whole fuckin lot!!. Pardon, but I thought this was their job.

It's getting really bad for theft lately. What ever happened tot he times when you could leave everything unlocked. I'm now resorting to locking my garage when I go inside for a drink, which sucks got I have to put everything back in it.
