Hello! I live in Gisborne and I'm moving to Christchurch this month and the bike will come with me as well:yes:. I've asked biketranz and they said they don't do Gisborne at this time.
The only place near Gisborne they do is Napier and it's cost $420. Can I find anywhere else cheaper than that? Or that's about the right price?
Any suggestions?
Thank you
Andy
Ride it to Welly and store it our place or take it to Biketranz in P'ram. You can stay the night here and catch the bus back home. Be here by Friday and I may be able to give you a ride back to Napier

Ride it.........I rode my 250cc Benelli Christchurch to Maungaturoto (Northland) years ago - great ride....(course swimmin' it over the Strait was a bit of a challenge.......)

Yeah I'm a international student. I got my other stuffs to carry so I can't ride it down all the way, but I'll consider that for the last choice. Thanks to Grub, slofox and McDuck anyway : )

Do you have a lot of stuff? Just rent one and drive it your self.

bismarck, if you have a small amount of stuff to move, then put it in some boxes and post them to chch. Then take your lunch and your drink bottle, and say goodbyes, and hop on your bike and go to chch. It seems it might be a long way, but you will see that it is not, because it is lots of fun. Do not be in a hurry - just start early 6am and ride and watch the sun come up. It will be an awesome day. You will see.
You can take a break overnight at wellington, and some helpful KB'er (lots of them in wellington) can show you how to get on the ferry and tie your bike down. It is easy.
It will be a big waste to put your bike on a truck. That is a sad thing for a bike. Only broken bikes go on trucks.
