But there are some few things that needs to be taken care of e.g. Battery and the tank.
The tank needs to be replaced. It is still leaking. Well I can do that!
For now, I gotta learn how to kick start the thing lol It's kinda hard...
Well anyways, thank you all! :)

I never realised that you have never had to kick start it before, should have given you a quick lesson.
Hope you have it sorted...have you taken it for a spin up the road?
Yep I have  just came back actually lol
I'm not sure but it makes high pitched 50cc two stroke scooter sound when I give gas lol My neighbours won't like it but :whocares: haha

Also forgot to tell you that it might need to be rejetted to get it running perfect. It seems ok at wide open throttle but a little iffy at part throttle.

Arse it needs to be replaced. Araldite it  Araldite is cheap and you will sure as heck use it again, go out and get some. Whip the tank off, araldite it. If you can't wait 24 hours for it to set, bung it in the oven for an hour and you will be all done! (make sure you leave the tank out to get all the fumes and junk out, don't wanna explode your oven :third: )
boostin araldited it for me :)
...but it still needs to be replaced lol

Why? is it still leaking?
yeah lol Well still I think the tank is rusted inside. So it may be better to replace it before it pops open :)
I've found the problem with the noise. Xerxes said its the intake noise. It's normally muffled by the airbox but since it's got a filter it'll scream like a 9 year old girl lol
It's all good! :niceone:
Edit: Hmmm its leaking quite bad. I can literally (visually) see it leaking. Oh well I'll just take it to my house and leave it (not ride it) till I get a new tank :(
Was it like this when you had the bike boostin?

It was def leaking when I had it, but only just seaping out when the tank was half full. I only put a couple of liters of petrol in it just to get it to your place.
They must have vapourised by now

well a couple might have been one.
With regards to the tank, I had done as much as I could to fix it. Someone with more tank fixing abilities might be able to fix it up.
It's ok I appreciate it! :)
The tank is all rusted inside anyways
We araldited it for a temporary use remember? lol
Thanks for all you've done lol
Get some POR15 into that tank. I just used it to effectively stop a tank leak.

Reminds me of a story about my Step Dad.
When he was younger he had an old mini.
There was a bit of rust in the fuel tank, so he drained it, took the tank off and left it to dry out for three days.
Then he vaccumed the rust chips out of the tank.
There was a large BOOOM! and he came to to find his dad standing over him and a large hole in the garage wall where the vacumme cleaner had previously existed
The moral of the Story? Never Ever make assumptions about fuel tanks.

Unless something has changed in the tank department then actually its got a pretty bodgy repair at back of tank.
That repair is being made worse by the lack of tank mounting rubbers
Now the bike is running well I'd be hauling the tank off and empty it clean all the crap off the back of it thats there.. Get it back to nice shiney metal again Then use propper 2 pot araldite to repair the holes -let it set propperly.
THEN replace the missing tank mount
This whole repair will cost ya $20 max but i bet the leak goes away.
MEANWHILE -mental image is a new carby linked to the old airbox--if this is the case then youre gonna be back at square one pretty soon --as the fuel leak fills the airbox -which drains the fuel down the crankcase breather into the engine --etc etc --you need to move the crankcase breather

When I test-rode it after fitting the CB carb, it was reasonably noisy, wouldn't call it a high-pitched noise though. Well, at high RPM of course. It is sort of a throaty roar, thumping in time with the piston? And it's almost silent with the throttle closed, but the more you open the throttle up it gets much louder?
At some point it'd be good for me or somebody else to do a plug chop, check pilot mixture as well etc., as it's only been roughly tuned with no pod filter on it yet. How's performance? Comparable to how it was before?
EDIT: P.S. Frosty, no airbox. Running a pod filter. Yes, I know :)

I cleaned all the crap out that was around the rear mount after talking to you Frosty. Looked like half dried bog.
Made 2 or 3 attempts with araldite at it, thought I had it only to find out later that is was still leaking. It is leaking right up under the rear mount, hard to get to. I also added some cut out bits of rubber to mount the tank on, as well as a bit for the front mount.
Ej - dented not leaking tank for $85.
