Front fork seal question

My rgv 250 front fork has a little bit leaking problem. The bike has been put in the garage for a long time so I guess the fork seal may need to be replaced.

How much is the avarage cost to do that at a workshop? Can you actually do that by yourself I mean what else you need?

Time and some tools.
Parts should be cheap, $60 ish.
