found this on trademe... a mother concerned because a father has been seen, and reported to police, several times picking his kid up from school on a bike, with neither of them wearing helmets. the kid is about 5.

anyone have an idea as to who it might be? very worrying really... kids are tricky cargo as it is, without being minus a lid as well.

yep chuck the book at the guy - should smack him square in the face cos he is not wearing a helmet. People like that make me sick and don't deserve to have kids let alone a motorbike

I don't remember the last time I ever saw someone riding around like she says without a helmet.

So given that everyone on the interweb thingie always tells the truth I suspect that lunabelle is short for lunatic belle.

The trademe forums are basically the Internet equivalent of talkback radio.

Best avoided.

Hell, I once gave an old girlfriend of mine a ride from school to the mall whcih was about 10 minutes away, next day I got hauled up to the principal's office and he had a fit at me for about 45 minutes.. still gotta find out who snitched on me..

Then again, i've never done it again. This guy sounds like a bit of a prat, (Yes I already know i'm a prat aswell). I'd drag the police out to the school and make them watch this guy take off.. sounds near enough unacceptable to me.

OMG. They need to be reported, the father need to be sent to prison despite his close relationship with the kid, and the kid needs to be sent to CYFS foster care.
Kids should only be brought to and from school by school bus, and be raised by nanny. Parents relationships with kids are to be banned as these may lead to either child abuse or incests.

We also need to regulate on what people can and cannot eat, and call ourselves the Proud Democratic Republic of Socialist New Zealand.

Fucking faggots make me sick...

I pick up my fella frequently.

ATGATT for him. Heck - even to the shops. It habit and I know when he gets his own bike he wont even think of riding without safty gear on - its called responsible parenting.

Now - as for calling the cops etc. People just need to speak up - if you see something bad - tell the person doing it. Calling the cops wont acheive anything.

Calling CYFS - How can that be bad.

Oh hang on. CYFS turn up after school.

Every kid who's parents arent there bang on bell time are classed as abandonment cases and 40 kids are taken into care.

The guy on the bike was early and excapes without issue.

You may joke about this.
But ,seriously, this father's actions infringe both the Compusory Cottonwool act 2002 and the Precious Lamb act 2003

i bet you it is a rural school, and the old man is just shooting across the road to the school on his quad to get his kid before he gets the cows into the shed, and some floppy fluffy coffee drinking aucklander, who has just brought a lifesyle block is shocked at this reckless behaviour, because on the 20 week night course that they did to become a "farmer", the OSH man said you must wear a stack hat on your quad, and not exceed 25km per hour, and do not take it off road, its dangerous.
