I kinda like the styling, but really impractical on any NZ road...

after spending $150k on a bike - I wouldnt have much $$$$moola left for bling - and that bike needs it. Its U-G-L-Y.

Speaking of impractical on NZ roads, can anyone remember the URL for that (French?) bike designer who turns sport bikes in to crazy street fighters etc? Lazerus design or something. I'm sure there was an 'i' in there somewhere...
I've had a look around but can't find it anymore. Some of his bikes were around that price range if I remember correctly. Bloody expensive but some were very nice-looking.

Looks hideous, and on paper appears slower than most bikes 1/3rd its price if thats what you're into.

So yeah, think not.. Rather a Buell even, and i'm not a fan of low revving engines. Despite carbon fiber it weighs more than a sportsbike, sports an engine double the displacement and still manages to waste most of that putting out 120hp - sure its got heaps of torque though.

actually, it's only $136k, so you wouldn't be able to get that R1

What a pile of SHIT !!! Fuck if someone gave me $150k I could with my skills make something that would aleast be fast / good looking & handle for half that & still have enough left over to go on Holiday .

Quite horrid.

I like it. I like the hossack front end. I like how ugly it is. I like the carbon beam from which everything is built off. I like that its loud, different, obnoxious, and uncomfortable.

Squint while looking at every other naked bike, and they all look the same. Design studios are afraid of pushing the limits, and most bikers are so conservative.

52,000 quid, the mortgage can wait, the dog doesn't really need the expensive dog food, I can eat macaroni cheese. Desmosidici versus Wraith. Hmm.

Brad Pitt has a Hellcat.

Says it all really. IMO he lost all credibility when he hooked up with ol' Pneumatic knockers.:yawn::yawn:

I think if I was going to spend that sort of money for a bike to look like some sort of engineering mentalist job, I'd just go to Twizzle in Bournemouth, and ask him to throw something together

Brad Pitt has a Hellcat.

Not this hellkat he don't.
I prefer Johnny Depp, ta.

Note for wonderers: NO ... I did not name myself after one of those atrocities.

Gimme 50,000 quid and I promise you that I will produce you a bike that will look uglier, have worse handling and turn more heads. Something that will stand out no matter where you park it. I could even make it smell for that price so blind ppl would say "Yuk" too...

I liked this quote: "I can only assume rich bikers have no sense of aesthetics whatsoever. The Wraith looks like a particularly ugly washing machine while the Hellcat wouldn't look out of place at a ratbike rally. Anybody shelling out the 50K asking price ought to have a little set aside for psychotherapy." lol

This quote is quite good as well IMHO:

I used to own a bike with girder forks, a BSA M20. They worked OK. (Not 52K's worth of OK, though.)

I have a hard time seeing Ned Kelly on rollerskates though...

Probably what appeals to me most about it.
The two-wheeled figurative 'f@ck you'.

How about one of these bad boys available as a kitset from ITM for a paltry $95,348.00?

If I was in the market to spend that much I'd definitely choose a Desmosedici over that thing

I farkin love them. Both. They're handmade, obviously obnoxiously loud and barely legal. And they'd make people stop in their tracks. So definitely proper motorbikes then.

Its made out of mecano

For $150k you could not only build a bike out of actual Meccano, you could make it turn, stop and take off faster than that ugly thing!
