Take good care of your dad, Grace. And wish him all the best from the Kiwi Biker folks, OK?
Hope he gets well soon & is out & about soon. Don't think he can get too excited about being in hospital.

Hi Grace and Family, far out I hope all is well, make sure you keep us updated.
My Dad had heart surgery a few years ago now and it all went really well and he has been better than he ever was after it, so trust the doctors they are a good bunch and will look after him. They have some pretty amazing technology now so I'm sure he will be out there on that KDX in no time trying to keep up with you and your sister! Or at least taking photos of you guys on your bikes!!

Hi Grace,
Sorry to hear about your Dad. The fact that he's in hospital is GOOD!! It's the one's that don't make it to hospital that have the problems. After tomorrow he should be almost good as new, and certainly better than he has been recently. I had the same thing about 4 years ago. Might see you later today at the hosp.

Thanks for telling us Grace. Your dad's a good guy.
He will be amazed how much better he feels after the op and recovery.
If you remember an old man helping out at the Waitemata club family days (with a white beard, sort of like Santa), he had basically a quadruple bypass about 7-8 years ago and is doing great.
Wish him all the best from us (as a reference, spark plug will do).
Looking forward to seeing him out and about at rides soon.

Hi Grace,
Send our regards to your Dad from all of us at KB. Look forward to seeing him and you at Ardmore soon.
Don't worry to much if there's one thing that hospitals CAN do lots about its the heart and its plumbing.
Keep us posted as to how he's going please. We kinda wanna see the old bugger back taking you out and pics of all our mistakes!

An Update on Phil... He's resting comfortably in Auckland Hospital and in good spirits. Didn't actually have a heart attack, but came close. Was booked in today for Angiography/Angioplasty but this has been postponed till tomorrow. He apologises for not posting the photos from last Wednesday's Ardmore meet yet!!

Hi folks, I'm back from the plumbers with a little addition to my right aorta and a clean bill of health from hereon.... procedure was done through my throttle wrist ( reckon they could put a new set of rings in from the tailpipe on a four stroke). so will be a while before KDX crawls round a track, but the kids will be out again soon. Thanks for your well wishes and I'll give you all the chance to withdraw the soppy posts before I track you all down and give you all a big hug.... As Leong said, although I didn't have a heart attack and no lasting damage, I was very close..
Look forward to catching up in person soon...

Hi Clmintie, glad to hear you are all good now, don't hospitals just suck.... I just spent 10 days in Middlemore with broken femur and elbow from a good crash at Ardmore, but was quickly put in perspective as the young rarotongan kid in the bed next to me had just had his leg amputated below the knee after a car crash in raro 6 months ago and the infection eventually got the better of him. His attitude was all good though! Cheers, and take it easy, when not holding it wide open, Craig.

Hi mate,
Glad you're out and about. Best of luck with everything. Especially sorting out whatever really caused your near heart attack.
My dad's had 3 attacks so far, tripple bypass surgery, veins from both hands extracted, chest opened, etc... just between you and me mate, trust me you don't wanna go there. Best of luck with it all.
Nice of your daughter to put the original post up too.
:sunny:
Warm regards,

Glad to hear you are up and about. Had a quintuple bypass year and a half ago , much better to get the pipes reamed out before its too late and they need to put some spare ones they " found " in your leg and/or arm.

Thanks Andy, let me know when you're coming to Ardmore, I'll bring the CRF100 for your kids. I'm off work for another 2 1/2 weeks and that includes the first week of the school holidays. Sophie and my wife are going to Cairns, so Grace and I will be doing a heap of riding, Ardmore, Sandpit, Harrisville, Mercer practice day and what ever else we can find open. We have some catching up to do......
