Popped down to Masterton via Pahaitua track and main road. Had a gander in the m/c shops then off to Riversdale. Nice bit of road that. Back tracked to Masterton for gas and piss stop. Nattered to a nice young chap who was on his way to Alexandra from Hastings. Then off via a back road called Daggs Rd-Motu you'd love it a bit of seal and around 16kms of gravel very scenic-then on to Pongaroa. This road if a bit chopped up in a fair chunk of it with the road being under cut in places and slips because of storm damage. Pie,chippies and a sprite. Pongaroa to Woodville stopping at the Boots n Braces for a yak with Murry the owner and off home via the gorge. Took the gasaxe this time. Around 380ks of nice relaxed riding, wonderfull. :ride: Will post some pics when I've recharged the cameras batteries.

Went past Boots and Braces yesterday (too late), kicked myself coz we'd just come down the other road and stopped at some the nasty cafe on the corner for lunch, had a deep fried chux cloth I think, with a side of grease and a glass of oil... B n B looked way better... Ah well, I'll know for next time eh ?... Was wanting to go to the Beyond the Bridge cafe on the gorge but it's closed till Weds... bum. Yup, nice ride back over the track... have to do that again.
Sedge.

Their feeds are good and reasonbly priced. They've bought the section next door and are going to turn it into a garden bar, parking area come accomodation .

One thing I forgot to mention was there was a hell of a lot of bees about. Wished I'd worn my usual neck warmer. Luckily non made it inside the helmet. Had a bad experience in Hastings years ago. Puffed up like a ballon.

It had a prang early in its life and sat in storage for years. Some other dude spent a lot on it I get to ride it ;). Only done 20,000ish kms since new. The EZ had a slightly different wiring loom to so less suseptable to stator/reg/retifier probs I believe. If ya know anyone that has a spare rh side cover I'd be interested.
