Palmy North: population 78,800
Auckland and surrounding areas: population 1.5 million
I don't have the time to make a road trip to Palmy at the moment. So where can I go in Auckland (or close to) to get my OEM suspension set up right for me?
With that many people here, there has to be someone, right?

New Plymouth is a hell of a lot closer than Palmerston North, and with a smaller population to fight your way through.

Still doesn't answer his question though, does it. Still not near Auckland and even further way from Whangarei. Is there someone close to the Auckland that you would recommend for suspension set-up?

Ah. Well, I'm not a 'local' and I also live in Auckland, so anything south of the Bombay Hills is marked: 'here be dragons' on my mental maps.
My question was genuine, not a dig. While there are lots of bike shops in an around the Greater Auckland area, all of the easy-to-find/well-advertised 'specialist' services (suspension, engine tuning, etc) are located elsewhere. 'Why' is a question for another day.
However, as interesting as this all is, I still have a problem that I am happy to pay to have solved for me by a professional - my rear suspension is not set up right for me, and makes the bike feel like a hardtail.
Who in the Auckland area can I go to to get this solved?

Excellent. I will do that.

Ray Clee (RCM Performance) would probably be a good bet, too

Ray generally seems to be too busy with race bikes , good bloke just doesn't have the time. There is definetely a hole in the market for someone to specalise in suspension . Tjebbe Bruin is worth a try but I believe he is mainly chook chasers. If I knew jack shit about it I'd be tempted .
