Warning to all CBD bike park users. Watch your bikes today!

I just poked my head the window and looked over to the bike park (Featherston St opposite the Holiday Inn) and saw a dodgey looking character hovering around looking pretty furtive. I thought it looked odd so I wandered to the end of our gantry for a cloer look.
By the time I'd got to the bottom of the stairs the f*cker was squatting beside a bike fiddling with something (wires I think). So I started to cross toward him and said "Oi!!" He jumped up looked around, saw me coming (I'd started to run) and took off! No, he wasn't trying to get his bike started. He was trying to get someone elses bike started. I had a ook at the bike and there was no damage I could see, but I left a note anyway. I rang the police :Police: and they said they keep an eye out.

So keep an eye on your bike!! Check it now.

Have ya heard of "ride it like you stole it"? This guy was running like he got caught trying to steal it. Ya don't run like that if you're not guilty.

You getting out of shape there Col?

I would have had my money on you catching him, frogmarching him up to the top of Featherston House, hanging him over the edge for a good lesson, then seeing the error of his ways and "letting him go."

What a prick. Not you bud. The lowlife.

Nah he can still steal then, cut off his thumbs and refuse him any kind of government money (benefit etc)

...fast runner.
Cool. NZ has an entrant in the olympic 100m sprint. Would you mind standing behind him when he races?:blip:

Top work Cola - oops, Huggles!
Edit: I mean Petal.

Way to go. (Who said white boys cant run)
We have to remember you have to go down a lot of steps then cross the path so off course you were tired.
Great to see everyone is looking out for each other.

That's why I put a disc-lock on everywhere. Makes stealing a bike just a bit harder for a casual thief.
Good work Col... er, Huggles. Huggles???

I can picture it now...the poor bugger being chased by a biker in leathers called "Petal"

Ya ever see that aussie movie where the 2 straight guys were playing queer to con the Inland Revenue?....and the guy wore them leathers with the butt cheeks cut out...

18 year old? 250? Sure he wasn't the actual owner trying to start up a derelict bike? I know I've been there... still there...

Course, anyone in a hoody is bad news.
