I am totally new to riding, female, only about 5 foot and 50kg.

Looking at either KLX140L or KX85,which one would be more suitable for me to learn on ??

The KX85 feels better to sit on but been told by retailer that the 140 will be easier to learn on....

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

KLX140 would probly suit a learner better being a less aggresive more trail orientated bike with less maintenence.

KLX 140. The KX85 is a proper motor cross bike and would probably put you off riding altogether.

Welcome to off road motorcycling. You will have a ball. Enjoy:2thumbsup

KLX140L would be a much better option, one of my staff's girlfriend got a KX85, was scared by it and did not really enjoy riding, then got on a 140 and loves it, they are a very good bike for starting out on,

I rode one for a loop of our Naike Trail ride this year, very fun bike,

we already have 09's in stock to

This is LittleJohn's wife here. I too am totally new to riding & I brought a CR80. Im bout 165cm (i think) & similar weight to you. As I say I'm totally new lol so i'm still learning big time but I've found it easy to ride. When looking at bikes it was the weight of them I was most worried about being small. I had mixed ideas of what I should get too but decided i would give the CR80 a go & love it.
