Hey falks , looking to change the fork oil on my bike and need a SYRINGE but it is a bit dodgy if I just go to the pharmacy to as for one.
Anyone here in the medical profession that can supply me with a bug SYRINGE please or knows where I can buy one to use to get the oil out of the forks without dismantling them ?
All help highly apprechiated.
Thanks

Saw something in the local paper today where a town has erected a monument which is a giant syringe. What is this for... well they are well known for mineral spas and enemas of mineral waters. Guess you don't want one this big and it was overseas of course...:yes:

Just go to the chemist tell them you'll inject with a bloody used syringe if they dont give you one, then you'll get all infected and come in like land of the dead zombie and eat their brains.
always works for me....
other than that, find a diabetic.

To be honest no-one gives a shit about whether you want a syringe or not it's the needles that cause all the bother. Hark at the Glaswegian.

Go try the vet surgery as well, tell them you want to inject the correct oil into your forks as well, need an accurate measure in mls,i.e 49mls or so.

Just go get one, its not like some sort of conspiracy whereby if you say that DEMON word you are immediatly tracked as a criminal for the rest of your life
good luck with this horrific situation

Just take off the caps, remove the forks, and tip the forks upside down. Then p ump the forks in and out a dozen times or so to get rid of the remaining oil in the damping rod chamber. Refit to bike and top up with specified amount of oil.
Using a syringe to "suck it up" is not going to get all of the oil out.
Pumping them upside down or complete disassembly and washing out is the correct way to go.:scooter:

I can get all of the syringes you want - no needles tho. They are good for fork oil and also bleeding brakes - just stick a tube on the end and draw the fluid down thru the bleed nipple, Lot easier than trying to find someone to pump the pedal or lever unless you have arms & legs about 2 metres long!

Needle exchange, they sell big ones for about 30 cents each.

Last time I did the fork oil in my old XR200 I used a syringe that we brought from a pet store... they use the syringe to force feed animals and stuff, mainly birds...
Dude... it aint that bad buying a syringe... as long as ya don't buy ten boxes of nurofen at the same time.:jerry:

Just act cool and ask for a few other things while you're at it - some boxes of condoms, porno mags and a crate of illegal fireworks.

I've got plenty of the damn things here at home, drop me a line first though, I have to take them out of my arm.
But seriously, we have plenty.

I just rang up the chemist, I asked them if they had one with small increments as I'm building a engine and I'm trying to work out the compression ratio.
All the ones at the chemist are for giving medicine to uncooperative children anyway, not the ones you use to shoot up.
