Here's a link to the 09 sx models http://motocrossactionmag.com/ME2/dirmod.asp?sid=&nm=&type=news&mod=News&mid=9A02E3B96F2A415ABC72CB5F516B4C10&tier=3&nid=B832F1484B7F4F07848879B4A4916CF7 anyone spotted any pics of the exc range yet.

And does anyone know about when Ktm usually does a model revision or is it little improvements all the time?

Yes I've seen the EXC's, well the XCW's which are the same thing. SX's have new shock pistons, needle and shims, fork settings, rumours the open chamber forks (like on EXC's) have a new damper rod.

No major changes for the exc's in 09 as it was the 08's that recieved all the major changes and they seem to stick with the main design for about three years at a time just changing small things year by year.

There is quite a few pics on KTMTALK if you want to check them out.

Heck they must have been doing something to the site when I got those links because it said I had administrator rights and I had access to all sorts of pics. Then I closed the link (after trying to post it above in my first post and it not working, lucky I had those other links with the pics still open) and now I just get the corporate home page with no access to the 2009 models. So we might have just got a quick sneak preview.

Having trouble keeping my hand off it looking at the 300 six day model (beer that is).

Clear tank is a huge bonus and would be even better with calibrations on the side.

I hope they have fixed the starter motor problem as mine still don't fucken work properly despite a new one under warranty. The word will get out if they are still dodgey.
Guess I'll have to keep using the kick start like the rest of you heathens.

Great links thanks Danger. First link worked fine downloaded and saved. Nice looking bike but not to much different from the 08. Different crankcases and no black forks. Same plastics different stickers. And the fork and tech mods of coarse.
Second link s having problems although the kids have used up all my Hi speed and its to close to the end of the month to bother with a top up.

Dammad1 thanks for the heads up on the revision situation. I was just checking if I get an 08 whether or not it at the end or the beginning of the cycle.
Oh by the way a 200 doesn't have a starter motor! Danger says kick starters for real men!!

Drool. The only bike that has similar sex appeal to KTM is the new red and white Husky. (Dear Santa, TXC250 please. Those socks last year were shit, you tight bastard)

Hey Reckless. During an info dredge I found a company report mentioned new model cycle beginning 2010. On 09 exc200 I can see new clutch cover and slightly shorter kickstart. Hope that lease guy likes the new graphics.

Danger, next time you manage to hack KTM website can you adjust the price list a little bit?

Yeh I'm bloody shitting my self he will stick with his 08 because of the recession. But if his next years monthly payments stay the same why wouldn't he up date?? I don't think the retail has gone up at all on a new bike from 08 to 09 So as far as he is concerned, his company costs and deductions are the same, he just rides a later bike. Who knows lifes a gamble!! Leasing is a good idea for those with there own companies, I've done some rough figures and it makes very good sense actually!!

I haven't had any problems with my starter, just give it a little grease every now and then and it always starts first pop, but I have read about others that still have problems, I think the 08 starter was better than the 07 so maybe they will have it near perfect for 09?
The rumours are that the 2010 SX models will get a new frame so it will probably be the year after for the EXC's.
I was thinkin about getting a 09 but there doesn't appear to be any real changes so will probably hang onto the 08 for a while, hopefully the 2010's will be injected.

I have a couple of 2008 models for sale in the next week or two. Cheep Cheep
I'd love to have one of the ISDE ones but they are a limited edition. Normally only 500 are released every year but this year there are going to be a couple of thousand.

Might just have to get a clear tank from the USA unless anyone has any contacts?
