:psst: Hey ... hows it going??

I love the site!
After a wee bit of lurking, and making myself sort of familiar with the site, I thought I'd take the time to introduce myself.
I must say I love these wee smilies!

My name is Rachel, and live in a bloody cold Christchurch.
I have recently learnt to ride, 6 months, and I have to say I absolutely love it! I will never go back to being a pillion ever again!
I love the thrill, freedom and bug splatter
I'm just a quiet rider at the moment, gaining more and more confidence everytime I go out, though not much joy with winter here, but hey, watch out for summer! I think I have done very well in the short space of time riding, well hubby definately thinks so.

I have learnt to ride on a 650 straight away. Naughty I know, I'm meant to learn on a 250 right? But my excuse would have to be that my big arse just wouldnt look right on a 250
I am currently swatting the road code aiming to have L plates by the end of winter. I am so looking forward to being legal!

I don't own a bike as such, but I have (my) Tiger at my beckon call, currently locked away nice and snugg! It's my hubby's bike, BUT will soon be all mine!!

Its a whole new world out there being on a bike, and the people I have met so far are just fabulous! Much more so than I antisipated.
I definately look forward to getting to know you all, and joining in on some rides in the near future.

Chat soon!

Welcome and please dont feed the loonies in here.
you can apply for an exemption to ride a bigger bike for your learners, they will not tell you this you have to ask about it. and I am not certain on what the criteria is.

Hey trumpy .. welcome aboard ... I am sure you will enjoy the site. with sitting your licence don't waste your time waiting for the end of winter .. get it our of the way and get the time you need to have on the lower cc bikes underway. the time starts from the licence time not the riding time ;)
