Hi,

Does anyone know how I can make my PX150 go faster? I'm not talking much but it currently goes 80Kmh it would be nice to get 100kmh out of it.

Get an aftermarket expansion chamber, re-jet it and mod the air filter. :2thumbsup

What he means is change the exhaust system. Call a scooter shop in auckland Scooter world currently has an rs150 expansion chamber in stock which will bolt straight onto your scooter. Also ask them for a jet that will work with your scooter. A jet controls the gas the air ratio, When you change the system you will need to put a larger jet in your bike. 3600886 http://www.scooterworld.co.nz/

Easy. Put it in the back of a car.

Just remember, you can have fast, cheap and reliable - choose two.

How deep are your pockets? Would losing some weight do the trick, it's normally the cheapest way...

A new chamber and re-jet would be the easiest bolt of fix, then you can look at putting a bigger kit on it to 177cc (piston, barrel and head), bigger carb etc... The choices are limitless...

As well as Scooter World (http://www.scooterworld.co.nz/), there is Retro Scooter (http://www.retroscooter.co.nz/) who deal with Belladonna's which are 150cc's. There is also Scootling (http://www.scootling.co.nz/), Scooter eMotion (http://www.scooteremotion.co.nz/) and a few others. Best to shop around and get some pricing and ideas as to what you can do and then weigh it up with what you can afford.

Just my 2cents...

Why not just bolt in a 200 engine? It'd take you about an hour, tops.

It'd go a bit faster if you cut off half the puffy legshields too.

how old's your PX150?

i ride a 4-stroke 150cc vespa (well, i just sold it today) and it goes up to 110km (speedo) no problem on the motorway.

if i'm correct, PXes are 2-strokes and they ought to put out a little more juice so 80kmph max is a bit odd...

why don't you give it a good service and see what happens? bring it round to a vespa-smart mechanic and he'll figure something out.

its service history might come into play here.
