Hey so, battery tenders/charges... whats the best brand to get? I know you used to be able to get them that charged/maintained more than one bike, these still about, the sort that has the plug hanging out under the seat cos its always conected to the battery.

I've got a "Battery Fighter" Junior that I bought from Supercreap auto a couple of years ago. A fully auotmatic one.
It only does one at a time so I rotate it around my batteries and it seems to do the trick.

ey D, I have an Optimate ll and I use this for most of the bikes (1 at a time tho it may be possible to wire to more than 1, I'd have to check) and a Ducati Performance one which connects to a plug wired to the battery of the MGS 01. I also have another but don't use it for the bikes as I prefer a slower charge for them. You can borrow one to try-out if you like.ciao, Nut:beer:

I have this one. It comes with two connectors, one quick connector you can leave on the bike attached to the battery, and one standard one. So far it works great.

Well worth keeping the battery topped-up during winter if you're not riding so much or doing short trips.
I can get 8 to 10 years life from
a battery by giving 'em a tickle-up for half a day every three-four weeks during the winter.

I use a Protecta 3500mA charge & maintain that I cut the leads off and put a plug inline. Now I can charge using the crocodile clips or a 3.5mm plug that matches the socket I fitted to the bike. Most of the time I leave the bike plugged in, occassionally disconnecting and fitting the crocodile clips for charging the boat deep cycle & starting batteries.
