So we will be in Auckland on the 30th for the night before heading on holiday, so who wants to meet for dinner???
Any Resturant suggetions??? I dont know the resturants in Auckland, but something fairly central as we are staying at The Langham.

Agreed re. Wildfire (http://www.wildfirerestaurant.co.nz/). At $47/head for dinner, I wouldn't call it particularly pricey, though.
Top tip when dining at Wildfire: ignore the entrees, they're just there to try and sap your appetite for the all-you-can-eat meaty goodness.
My favourite downtown restaurant (also very reasonably priced) is Vivace (http://www.vivacerestaurant.co.nz/) in High Street.

Since you're staying at the Langham, why not dine at the Langham?

Zhin Zhin indeed (shakes head).
Pretty nice - go there with work a bit - expect about $100 per head - may put some off.

When your talking about that price per head, I expect a waitress under the table or a big juicy chunk of electric puha....

Cin Cin's aiight, but basically 'meh'. Overpriced. Cibo in Parnell offers far better food for similar prices.
If you want fine motherfucking dining, the place to go in Auckland is the O'Connell St Bistro. I hear 5 City Road is open again, now, too. Could be worth a platinum-card shot.
I reckon Wildfire's the best call in this thread so far.

Onya. See you there.
I was a bit worried about that Bouchon Crappery idea. French waitstaff tend to be annoying and incomprehensible.

One more question...anywhere close(like right outside) that I could park my scooter and also Unit's '14?
Not too keen on leaving The Bleck Duc just anywhere.

park right out front of the resturant
That's what I'll be doing.

9th July 2008, 10:36
You can park right out front of the resturant, or you can leave it in my garage and get my girl to drive us all in and get trolleyed
Sounds good re the parking but we'll prolly just ride home after dinner.
It's just down the road after all ;)
Cheers man

Count me in.
As for parking, if you don't wanna leave or bike outside or whatnot, you can park for free in the City owned carkpark complex on quay street, well near it, like a 10min walk from there to Wildfire.
*hugs Col*
