It is a hoax. There's video on the net somewhere that shows how they did it by pulling a mocrowave apart and wiring up the magnetron(?) under the table.

Yes I'm sure that's what I meant. I noticed I also spelt microwave wrong ('mocrowave'). Hope my esteemed colleagues in BDOTGNZA don't spot that.
