I'd like to add my message of support for all the people participating in the convoy through the CBD on Friday and hope a few bikers get along to enjoy the antics. Its not often we get to stick it to the man, and the way we have been treated recently, its about time. If we dont stand up now, one day again our kids will be compulsory cannon fodder like in the good old days. As long as its every man for himself we can be picked like the selfish divided bastards we are becoming. The NRA in the states are a powerful lobbying body. I'm not a gun advocator but why shouldnt NZ bikers exhibit a similar degree of personal empowerment? Its not like we want much really? I'm now having to park on the road in places that are a pain for car drivers to manouever around, create more traffic as I need to find better places, put my bike at risk of being knocked over by backing cars, in the rain now with a wet seat... There were bugger all bikes on footpaths before and they have the same impact as a push bike or mobility scooter...so what crock so shit! Is our council actively trying to reduce traffic and promote sustainability or what? A recent front page commuter test in The Herald newspaper had 3 modes of transport tested from New Lynn to Aotea Square at morning rush hour: bus, car and push bike. No motorcycle or scooter!! And why? Most probably because they would win hands down!! Motorcyclists are viewed in a bad light by the general public whose opinion is controlled by mass media. Isnt it about time we took control of our future and the way the public views motorcyclists? Instead of oil companies and government who thinks we are scum? Solidarity and action brothers. PS How do I create avatar vids that I find so entertaining here? Anyways thats my rant. I feel better now. We should all get together and park downdown one day with the club pressies going somewhere like the council for a pow wow. Maybe we should demand meter maids in bikinis like they have on the goldie too:Oi:.

Don't worry, bikes won't be the focus of being viewed as bad guys tomorrow it will be those other guys clogging the streets pissing everyone off.

It took me about 10 mins to have my say on all of them, included the disabled parks (who knows when your luck may run out)

I will be splitting the lanes tomorrow, will be interesting especially with the boxer cylinders sticking out!!!
