For the few of ya interested I may have broken my run of indifferent luck.
I've found another motor for my race van and this time its being installed by someone proffessional-and hes going to replace all the hoses.
My Viffer is hopefully on its way up to me on monday for the decision to be made what to do with it -fighter it/half fairing or full rebuild.
Feeling has returned to my left hand and I can lift a coffee cup without dropping it -yeeehaaa.
The piston kit has arrived for mella yella so gary at GP trading is going to fit it and do a wee bit of tuning.
All in all pretty positive

Sometimes we get to these points in life - do we just continue to push through all this shit that's stacking up against us and hope to get to clear ground....or do we turn away and take a different path.I've done a bit of both - in hind sight probably the wrong move every time - but so long as we keep moving...forward,sideways or back,it doesn't matter, just keep going and don't stop.

AAAHhh mate !!!
Glad to hear you're on the mend :stoogie: ... Having things moving ahead helps with shit removal IMHO !!! Experience tells me that you are due some seriously good shit so hang in there.
As to the mighty VFR . :headbang: ....well I think you should take your time and get it right !! You will still have Mella Yella :scooter: to sort for the race day and that will keep you going for a while huh ?? Just keep it upright while testing ... :moon:

I hadn't realised your arm/hand was that bad! The fact that it's healing is obviously a good thing, and I'm sure it will continue to do so until you're back to the normal old wanker you always were :shifty: ;)
Ride safe, and upright.
Dave.

Yes you have had some poor luck lately.
But you have also had some brilliant luck. You've been racing lots (results irrelivent, it's still doing something you're passionate about), you found the Pillion. Baby Bikie has come away unscathed from his walk abouts and first bin.

Words of wisdom Motu. It pays to keep moving on. When things aren't looking too good, remember " this too shall pass", like every other bad thing that happened once and has been long forgotton.

How much of the front fairing is still there, and how much of the aeroscreen? Cos if you can keep the aeroscreen, paring it off the bottom half of the fairing, then naked + that arrow looks really good!

ajturbo's picked the bike up and is bringing it up to Frosty's Wednesday.
Hopefully some of you guys will volunteer to help get it out of the van, because we had to take the front end of the bike to get it in the van, or aj's dogs would have been walking back to Tauranga.
We got to have a good look at the front end when we pulled it off.
Not too bad I guess.
Nothing new front wheel, triple clamps, forks, and brake calipers wouldn't fix.
Some nice upside-down forks and some flat bars would look the dogs bollocks... :headbang:
