CSC (Cannon Signs) in Kumeu do an awesome job, but you do pay for it - such is the way of the world...

Thanks for the compliment - yes it's mine (mine all mine, lol) a recent purchase and the second one I've owned. Had the first one back in the day when they were new. Imported this one from the US though as I always liked the black ones which we never got in this country.
Looks like you've been putting some time and money into that XS :2thumbsup

yep, have to agree - the company I work for does a fair bit of business with them and their work is top quality and they have some great design guys who can think outside the square. best of all they are bike crazy too :)

Shit yeah. We delivered them a white GSXR1000 one day and picked up the WBP Racing missile two later.

Designed, sign written, the works in two friggen days. They even go to the trouble of painting the vinal the exact blue we wanted as you can't get it. In saying that, Cannon threatened to cover it in pink if I crashed it again.......

Cannon is VERY good but you pay through the nose (you should see his car collection)and you normally have to ride him to get things done in time

WTF has his (awesome) car collection got to do with it? For all you know he might have bought all those things and more with an inheritance, lotto win or whatever. If they have been bought solely on the profits of his business then is that somehow a crime?
Yes he's very good, yes you pay at the top end of the scale (but then his quality is at the top end of the scale) and yes, sometimes you have to push him to get things done in time (because they are very busy, but how much lead time did you give him?).
At the end of the day money talks, if you aren't happy don't deal with him - don't slag a guy off for having a profitable business and being able to enjoy those profits.

Hey settle down buddy, I wasnt slagging him off, did you not read the first part of my post where i said he is VERY good. the reference to his car collection was more tounge in cheek than anything else.

:) lol, I'm settled.....note there was no swear words (well, maybe a small WTF)
The implication of your post was that we are all subsidising his car collection, as if that was some sort of crime, which I don't think is right - I don't care if the guy has a Bugatti Veyron from the proceeds of his business. At the end of the day you get quoted a price for a quality job, if you aren't happy with the quoted price shop elsewhere.
That's cool though - if it was meant tongue in cheek you should probably have put a smiley or lol next to it to show that.

Apologies if I misconstrued your post - I just get pissed off with the seemingly large number of people on this forum who seem to think its a crime to make money, they need to think about the big picture, often companies like CSC put money back into our motorcycling community by way of sponsorship of riders, events and the like as do many dealers and wholesalers. If everyone followed this direction pretty soon we would have no local motorcycle industry and then who would support our sport, rallies, rides, riders, bike shows and all the other things we take for granted? For that matter, if all the dealers shut up shop who will fix your bikes etc.? Just something to consider.
Rant over..... :)
