Hey guys, well i do like to corner cranked over pretty far on the black stuff.

Buttt i have discovered gravel roads. and i went for a bit of sideways fun, only to discover i had no tyre left when i get home.
What should i run, i need somethnig with decent grip on the black top, but that wont shred to hell or gravel roads.

Any recommendations? trying not to break the bank.

I will probably do abouttt 2000-3000 k's a month ad i do not earn enough to be replacing top of the line tyres every month lol

Cheers in advance

Well... The lube could help get the old tyre off if you don't have a machine. :msn-wink:

You would be experienced in not having a Machine.

On Topic, I think Avon Storms are supposed to be quite well versed in Gravel and Road use. Unsure of the cost though.

Farkin tyres.

I've seen a few of those Triumph Tiger thingies in CHCH lately running a on/off Continental sets of tyres. No idea if they are any good or pricing.

Pirelli Scorpian MT90s are good.
Plenty of grip, while having large enough gaps between the treads that they can grip fine in the gravel and dirt.

Not much over $100 per tyre.

+1 on MT 90's . Wish I could get mine for $100
Work well on tarseal wet or dry & OK on gravel wet or dry but watch out for mud ,grass etc or you will be on your arse.

Getting a bit serious. I don't know what bike you have, but the sort of "fun" that you are describing to us is very similar to motocross. :Police:

Buy a PW50, throw it on the pack rack, then when dirty things comes along, ride the PW50! :jerry:

PROBLEM SOLVED. Gosh, that wasn't so hard now, was it?
